Can an Apple Watch replace WHOOP? With Vita, yes

Important caveats
The one that matters most: wear the watch to sleep, with sleep tracking enabled in the Health app. Without sleep, readiness loses a third of its input and overnight HRV sampling thins out. Apple Watch samples HRV intermittently rather than continuously all night, so single-day values swing more — the trend is more meaningful than any one reading. You'll also need to grant Apple Health read access on first connect; readiness needs about 7 days of baseline, and the first sync backfills 30. These scores are estimates for general wellness, not a clinical assessment.

Is Apple Watch HRV accurate enough?

Do I have to wear it to sleep?
Yes. Overnight HRV, resting heart rate and sleep are readiness's main inputs, so charging the watch overnight leaves readiness without its primary evidence. If you'd rather not sleep in it, Body Age, workouts and nutrition still work.
Which Apple Watch models work?
