Frequently asked questions

What is Vita, and how is it different from the WHOOP app?

Vita (100old.app) is an iOS health app that pulls WHOOP, Apple Health and lab-report data into one place and gives you Body Age, a Recovery score, Sleep analysis and an AI health coach you can chat with. The WHOOP app only sees WHOOP data; Vita is the decision layer on top of multiple sources — it cross-references every signal, shows real trends, and tells you what to do today in plain language.

How does Vita relate to WHOOP? Do I need a WHOOP?

Vita is mainly an enhancement for WHOOP users — it turns your WHOOP data into Body Age, AI-driven actions and cross-source trends the WHOOP app doesn't show. WHOOP captures; Vita helps you use it. You don't need a WHOOP, though: an Apple Watch + iPhone also computes Recovery, Sleep and Body Age, and if you get a WHOOP later the data merges automatically.

How is Body Age calculated?

Vita estimates your biological age from VO₂max, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep and step trends, and lets you drill into each driver's current value, 6-month average and yearly contribution. It's not a one-off number — it updates with your data so you can see how lifestyle changes move your Body Age over time.

What is the Recovery score, and can I get it without a wearable?

The Recovery score tells you each morning whether your body is ready to push. With a WHOOP it uses WHOOP + Apple Health; without one, Vita computes it from your Apple Watch HRV and resting heart rate. The idea is similar to WHOOP's readiness, but it's open to Apple-only users too.

What can Vita's AI health coach do?

Vita Buddy gives you a warm daily state-read plus one concrete action (e.g. "recovery is low today — keep it to easy cardio"). It has multi-turn memory and answers questions grounded in your recovery, sleep, training and even uploaded lab reports. It's not a generic chatbot — it's a coach that talks based on your actual data.

Can it read my lab results or physical-exam reports?

Yes. Snap a photo of a lab or physical-exam report and Vita's AI extracts every marker and reference range into a long-term health record. When you later ask the AI questions, it factors in the reports you've uploaded.

Which devices and data sources are supported?

Data comes from a WHOOP band and/or Apple Health (Apple Watch / iPhone). Either one works; with both, they merge and de-duplicate automatically. Metrics include Recovery, Sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, VO₂max, steps, workouts, weight and blood pressure — plus lab reports you upload.

Is Vita free? How much does it cost?

Free to download, with core features free forever. Three premium features (Body Age detail, health-report AI scan, and the Vita Buddy AI coach with 50 chat turns/month) need a subscription: $2.99/month, $29.99/year, or $99 one-time lifetime — cheaper over time than a recurring WHOOP membership.

What's included in the sleep analysis?

Total time, efficiency, deep / REM split, sleep debt and consistency, with WHOOP-style weekly trends and per-night detail. It works from either WHOOP or Apple Watch sleep data so you can see exactly where your sleep is breaking down.

Is my data private and secure?

Your health data is stored encrypted and isolated per account. It's never sold or used for ad targeting. When AI is involved, only the minimal context needed to answer your current question is used — never your full history. See the privacy policy for details.

Why is it called 100old, and is this the same as other apps named Vita?

No. "100old" comes from the goal of living to 100 with a high quality of life, and it's this app's unique identifier (domain 100old.app, App Store id 6769347697). It is not the other "Vita" health app, not the VITA video editor, and not the PlayStation Vita. If it says 100old.app, it's us.

Is there an Android version?

iOS + Web first. Android is on the roadmap but not soon. iPhone / Apple Watch users can start today.
